Programme Strategist

The incumbent protects and upholds Focus’ brand as the trusted guide and inspiring advocate for family-related issues and uses primary/secondary research to build coherent narratives and deliver programmes that are winsome and relevant to the next generation.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop and champion innovative, differentiated and experiential programmes for emerging families that are research-driven, impactful, scalable and relevant.
  • Analyse the impact of Focus core programmes and continually improve the content/product offering, including evaluating alternative offerings, collating feedback and reviewing evaluation data.
  • Keep abreast of family-related trends, social issues and policies through reading, tracking, synthesising and identifying opportunities for Focus to respond.
  • Manage communities of practice, and brainstorm ways of engaging, training and nurturing these volunteer advocates.
  • Conduct popular opinion polls and surveys in relation to family life trends that are strategic for Focus to speak into.
  • Work with the editorial team to generate ideas and assist with copy-editing of family life content.
  • Undertake all projects and activities as directed by the CEO and Lead, Programmes-X.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience in related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and creative team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiarity with WordPress and various social media platforms is a plus.

Office Hours

  • 9:00am – 6:00pm (with an hour for lunch) from Mondays to Fridays.
  • Options available for Flexi-Work Arrangements.

Compensation & Benefits

  • This is a contract position renewable annually or with opportunity to be converted to a
    permanent headcount role.
  • Salary commensurate depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Candidate will be entitled to leave, insurance and all other employment benefits in
    accordance with the policies set by the organisation.
