Alicia discovered her passion for helping others during a personal challenge, leading to a career switch and a rewarding professional and personal development journey. Today, she has a decade of experience in counselling, coaching and mentoring across schools, hospitals, community and social service agencies.
Since 2005, Alicia has been an accredited facilitator and speaker with Focus on the Family Singapore. She specialises in working with youth, working adults and young couples on individual mental health, dating, marriage in the early years, parent-child relationships and work-life issues. Her aspiration is to equip them with foundations and skills for significant living and strong family relationships. Alicia was formerly adjunct teaching at NTU’s Nanyang Business School for the elective Managing Relationships for Work-Life Harmony.
Alicia and her husband are committed hands-on parents to four school-going children, including a pair of twins — there is never a dull moment! Their parenting journey has imparted many insights. Her philosophy and practice in counselling today is a continual result of authentically living out what she has learnt and her investment in personal growth as a therapist’s most valuable skill is his or her own self. Alicia enjoys music and sports.
