Your support means so much to us at Focus on the Family Singapore and to the families across the country that we serve. Our programmes and services are supported largely by donors, and through gifts both large and small, much is accomplished.

How your donations are used

Every gift to Focus on the Family Singapore is used wisely and conservatively to help provide families and individuals with a variety of programmes and resources.

Through the gifts from generous friends like you, we can:
- Help husbands and wives find trust, intimacy and faith.
- Equip parents with practical tools to raise confident kids.
- Inspire working adults to adopt a healthy work-life perspective.
- Empower teenagers to make wise choices about relationships.

If you’re an individual…

If you’re a corporate organisation…
•    Make a one-time or monthly donation.
•    Sponsor an event or project. The various family events and projects we undertake each year
succeed only with the help of financial gifts and donations in kind.
•    Partner us as part of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Beyond financial donations,
we value your long-term involvement and view it as a way for our work to benefit the
people in your organisation as well.

Fundraising Principles

1.1    One way we can measure the effectiveness of our organisation in helping families thrive, is through the support provided by our constituents. Thus, we will diligently communicate how we are serving the community and make our needs known, but we will not strive or “hard-sell” for donations.

1.2    We will focus on Friend-raising and not resort to disrespectful or dishonourable methods of Fund-raising. To preserve the integrity and spirit of our donor ministry initiatives, we will not resort to using third-party fundraisers.

1.3    Friend-raising is the joint responsibility of the directors, staff and our stakeholders.

1.4    Where soliciting donations from Christians, we commit to not ask believers to support our work until they have first met their obligations to their local church.

1.5    We will not try to raise more money than we need and will cap maximum reserves at one year's operating expenses.

1.6    We will carefully protect the confidentiality of our constituent database, and not sell or lease any constituent information to any external organisation or individual.

1.7    We will comply fully with Singapore’s Commissioner of Charities and the National Council of Social Services’ Code of Governance for Institutes of Public Character (IPCs).

1.8    To maintain integrity in what we stand for, we will not accept any form of gifts from companies or organisations that support and promote gambling, tobacco, or alcohol, as these are deemed to be destructive to the family.

1.9    We are stewards of all of the resources entrusted to us and are accountable to our partners for how we use all that we receive. Thus, we will devote all our energies and talents to the task before us.
