Connect2 is an interactive course of 5 x two-hour sessions to help strengthen marriages in the early years and avoid some of the pitfalls later on. Each session consists of information presented by a trained facilitator couple, group discussions, and exercises for individual couples to do together.
It aims to help couples learn to really love each other – for life!

  1. To really communicate with each other – because ‘communication is (not!) only words’;
  2. To face the issues that matter and protect what you believe in;
  3. To know what your expectations are of each other and of your relationship; and
  4. To grow together beyond the big arguments and learn from the little ones.

Session 1:  Love for a Lifetime

  • What do your vows mean?
  • Expectations and reality in intimacy, possessions & recreation

Session 2:  Communication and Differences

  • Types of communication
  • My communication
  • Love languages
  • How we communicate

Session 3:  Resolving Conflict

  • Your different ways
  • Space for breathers
  • Dealing with conflict when you’re angry
  • Fighting fair

Session 4:  Great Expectations

  • Expectations for tasks/chores
  • When expectations are not met
  • Children, in-laws and work-life balance
  • What keeps couples together?

Session 5:  Intimacy, Romance and Sex

  • What is romance/intimacy?
  • How important is it?
  • Sex – does the earth really move

Workshop fee: $250 per couple (incl. of workshop materials & $100 worth of couple's resources)
