What does Focus on the Family do?

Focus on the Family Singapore is a local charity with IPC status that is dedicated to helping families thrive. We aim to support every family with affordable and quality family life education through talks, workshops, seminars and events. This is supplemented by well-researched family life resources and content placement in the mass media, reaching over one million people each year.

For more information, see About Us.

What is family life education?

Family life education is the effort to strengthen individual and family life through education. Parenting classes, pre-marriage education and marriage enrichment courses are a few examples of developmental and preventive family education programmes that help build strong and stable families.

Are you a part of MCYS?

We are an independent charity with IPC status registered with the National Council of Social Services. Most of our programmes are partially supported by grants from MCYS and related agencies.

Can I join as a member?

We are here to help all families thrive. You don’t need to be a member to benefit from our wide variety of family life education programmes and resources.

Do you offer free counselling services?

We have certified counsellors who offer one-on-one counselling services at an indicative donation of $70 per session. However, we will not turn away those in need due to financial constraints.

Are the workshops free?

We charge a participation fee for all our workshops to ensure the quality of delivery and content. For details on workshop fees, please see Programmes.

How can I become a volunteer?

Our work is largely supported by the numerous volunteers who are passionate about building strong families. We welcome you to volunteer with us in the areas of Events, Programmes and Operations.
